Initially opened in August 1982, based in an industrial estate in Ellesmere Port. In need of additional space, a move to the current location was carried out in 1991. This new location had been a brewery from the mid 1800s until closed by Bass in the 1960s. In 1996 it took the decision to trade as the name of the Phoenix Brewery.

Phoenix's classic beers include: Arizona, White Monk and Wobbly Bob.
